Chris Folk began his home-building company after a Habitat for Humanity project inspired him to “create the foundation for families to grow on.” Working on that same Habitat for Humanity house was Alan Banks, who went on to build a successful real estate marketing company.

Years after completing their Habitat house and establishing their own businesses, Chris and Alan are building houses together again. The two formed Evans Coghill Homes, LLC, with the goal of changing people’s perceptions of the home-building process.

Chris’ building experience and product knowledge complemented Alan’s knowledge of the market and customer service, and they created a home-building process that focused on daily site management and constant communication with the buyer.

Their process worked, even in extreme situations. One buyer requested more than 30 changes; another lived 1,000 miles away and made only three visits to the construction site. In both cases, Chris and Alan could say that their process made the experience successful.

With a diverse background in the construction industry, Ron Stevens prides himself on building homes that are structurally superior, yet have the attention to detail that custom home buyers desire.

Stevens earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and then worked for one of Charlotte’s largest commercial property developers. He has also worked as an estimator and project manager, overseeing the development of residential subdivisions.
